Out-of-court assistance
Avoiding litigation is the first goal: going to court is the last resort, not the first.
Out-of-court assistance, faced with a situation of difficulty, conflict or friction, with a view to avoiding litigation, is the first goal the firm sets itself.
This is both because of the emotional strain that litigation brings and, above all, because of its costs, timescales and risks. Starting proceedings must therefore be the extrema ratio, a path we will take together only if and when we have exhausted every tool the legal system makes available to us for settling a dispute outside the courtroom.
Out-of-court assistance is part of the broader notion of legal advice.
